I Choose To Go With IAJN
The fateful crossing of paths with IAJN happened 2 years ago when I was brought to the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam by my “Super team-mate” and by chance I met Shane - Founder of IAJN, yet at that moment there was still no IAJN, just his kind introduction to his wife’s Marketing Agency where he thought opportunity may lie. Time kept passing by and we’re all busy doing our own plans ’til the day I saw his Linkedin posting regarding an open job recruitment for Education Sector.
For me, I would say the chance to contribute to the sector that gave me wings is appropriate, my special affection for the Education Institution which enabled and facilitated me to embrace and self-open the door of possibilities and unlock the creative block to apply innovation in delivering business outcomes. Thank you must be said to my alma mater, RMIT University and my greatest BITL (Business IT and Law Department) people who have shown me the bright side of life and given me more than mentoring lessons that without your care and guidance, I wouldn’t be the person I am now.
I then met Kate, the other Founder of IAJN to ask for the job information as per Shane’s posting and her story really inspired me of her journey throughout the years. I’m blessed again to travel with IAJN as an Australian alumnus, to becoming one of the IAJN Crew and working on Education Sector again, 2 years after leaving RMIT - all of this inspired by my university, particularly the BITL team.
I want to bring the spirit of positivity and fullest of energy to student and alumni communities and it’s kind of love that explains my choice for joining Alumni Engagement Team at IAJN.
My new house at IAJN is quite lovely - we have a super inspirational working space with free coffee and tea. We've got a small but supportive team to share our tasks and brainstorm anytime of a day for new ideas and urgent situations and tackle the world together.
How lucky I am to spend every day connecting a reaching out to Alumni across the world so we can support and create opportunities for each other.
Whether my story written at IAJN will be long or short, I’m gonna make it memorable as my promise to my university that whatever it takes in the future, even if the world is broken, I’m gonna stay useful and strong.
Thanks Kate for offering me a way back to home.
